Learn more about Zeta's academics here:

Academic achievement is a high priority to the members of Zeta Tau Alpha. Many are members of the UNC Honors Program as well as a number of Honors Fraternities including Sigma Alpha Lambda and the Order of Omega. In addition, several members have received scholarships such as the Morehead-Cain Scholarship, Robertson Scholarship, Teaching Fellows, and the Zeta Tau Alpha scholarship. Our chapter consistently maintains an excellent chapter grade point average that exceeds the overall Panhellenic and UNC grade point average.

We have various resources and incentives to help our members obtain great grades. We offer ZTA tutors and study hours at the house as well as weekly study tips. Each week at chapter meetings, the Academic Achievement Chair gives "smart cookies" to members who have received an A on an exam, quiz, or major assignment. Additionally, members who attended every class that week put their name in the "Yippy I Didn't Skippy" jar, and one name is drawn to receive a gift card to a local frozen yogurt shop. Other incentives include "Manicure Our Grades", gift cards to South Point mall, and library raids.

Each semester our chapter hosts a scholarship banquet. Members invite their professors to attend and Zeta hosts a guest speaker from the University. Awards are given out to those who received excellent grades in the previous semester. Awards categories include members who receive a 4.0, Top 3 non-4.0s, Most Improved GPA, and Top 3 Big Sister/Little Sister pairs. In addition, every member who makes Dean's List receives a gift card.
