The Theta Tau chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded in 1979.
Over the past 8 years, Theta Tau has alternated winning the #1 and #2 chapter in the nation award at the respective biannual national conventions. Additionally, Theta Tau is consistently ranked #1 out of all Zeta Tau Alpha chapters in North Carolina.
We take philanthropy, service, and sisterhood very seriously in our chapter. Service projects, like Trunk or Treat with local elementary students and making Valentines with Girl Scouts, allow us to give back to the Chapel Hill community while strengthening the bonds of our sisterhood. Several times throughout the year, we engage other students on our campus by passing out pink ribbons to promote breast cancer awareness. All of our members are encouraged to be involved in other organizations on campus, as we love our members to be well-rounded individuals.
